About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Fresno, after completing an internship in pediatric psychology and pediatric neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in adolescent health at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

I have a collaborative approach, working with clients to develop goals and a treatment plan that fits their individual needs and circumstances. During the first couple of appointments we will discuss the client's reasons for seeking therapy, their personal history that contributes to who they are today, and what they would like to see change in their life. I see my role as helping clients build their inner resources so they have the confidence, strength and sense of peace to live a happy, fulfilling and satisfying life. It is important to achieve a balance in life and know that one can cope with the challenges that lie ahead while working towards what is important in their life. I help clients understand who they are, who they want to be, and develop tools to handle current struggles so they can move in a direction that is right for them.

I work with adolescents and adults and use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness strategies.

I am a member of the Colorado Psychological Associations and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
